The Captain Planet Foundation provides grants for organizations working with children, ages 6-18, on youth-focused projects pertaining to environmental, hands-on, group projects such as youth gardens. Funding amounts generally range from $250- $2,500.
Cartoon Network's Rescuing Recess Volunteer Challenge
The Rescuing Recess Volunteer Challenge provides resources to public elementary schools across the United States to encourage local volunteerism at the schools in an effort to raise one million volunteer hours in support of recess and physical activity. U.S. Schools that successfully complete the challenge will receive free playground equipment and a chance to win up to $25,000 in grant funding.
